Linen dyed and printed with madder. Design is inspired by the Tudor rose and drawings from rose leaves.

Lightweight linnen mordanted with tannin from oak galls, then dried.

Here after follows a second mordanting bath with alum and soda, then dryeing again.

Then dyeing with madder.

Next the fabric is printed with madder extract and a discharge consisting of alum and citric acid. The fabric is then steamed. 

Width 135 cm, height of the repeat is 50 cm.
