The silk/viscose velvet is a textile coming from China. Produced without child labour. Viscose is spun from wood pulp. Here CO2 is being trapped. The warp and weft are made of filament silk. This is reeled of the silk cocoons. China discovered how to make velvet before the year 0.
The cushions are filled with kapok. This 100 % natural fiber is a resilient, soft and bouncy high-end filling material coming from tropical trees. It will be almost forever lasting if you give the inner cushion a few sunbathes per year. This will keep the fibers swollen and bouncy. All pillows can be refilled.
The linen for curtains comes from Europe. I buy it at Whaleys.Bradford.ltd. A very reliable wholesaler.
